How to customize LOS settings

What this is for

The Settings page groups account, planning, data organization, module visibility, appearance, notifications, data backup and subscription settings. Each section is saved separately.

How to get there

Click Settings in the side menu or in the user menu (avatar in the top right corner, address /settings).

Step by step

  1. Choose a section in the side rail: Account & profile, Planning, Organization, Modules, Dashboard & Today, Appearance, Notifications, Data or Subscription & payments.
  2. Make changes in the section's form.
  3. Confirm with Save changes; the status next to it shows Unsaved changes or Saved. Cancel discards unsaved changes.
  4. If you try to leave the page with unsaved changes, the app asks for confirmation.
  5. You can run the first-time setup again with the Open setup button (Set up LOS) — see first-run setup wizard.

Common mistakes / pitfalls

  • Save changes saves only the current section; changes in another section must be saved separately.
  • Unsaved working changes are hinted at when you return to the page — the draft lives in this browser for up to 24 hours and does not contain passwords.
  • On a settings conflict (changes on another device) you will see Reload and review draft.
  • Turning off a module in Panels hides it from the menu without deleting data; turning off a whole group hides the group too.
  • Changing emoji and names in Task names affects only tasks added from now on.
  • Work and sleep hours and Parts of the day are independent settings — splitting the day does not change work hours.
