Customizing the dashboard

On the Dashboard page (/dashboard) choose Customize dashboard. Select the sections you want to see and set their order by dragging rows or using the up/down arrows. You will see changes immediately in the preview below the editor.

  • Save layout saves the layout to the user's account.
  • Cancel discards unsaved changes.
  • Restore defaults restores the default layout in the preview; confirm it with Save layout to keep it for future visits.

You can hide the quote, year progress, month progress, statistics, the tasks needing attention section, weekly charts and hours by project. The task and hours charts remain one shared section.

Default order: quote, tasks needing attention, statistics, weekly charts, hours by project, month progress and year progress. Month and year progress are displayed side by side on wider screens. A saved custom layout keeps its own order. To apply the new default layout, choose Restore defaults and then Save layout.

If saving fails, the editor keeps the changes and shows a message that lets you retry. Hiding all sections does not block access to the editor.

Unavailable data

If data cannot be fetched, the counters that depend on it show — instead of zero. The task and chart sections report that data is unavailable. Actual zeros are shown only after a successful read.

Try again retries the read, and Refresh lets you refresh the whole dashboard. If the refresh fails, the last correct values remain visible with a note about the failed refresh. Data from the previous day is not presented as current after refreshing into a new day. The period in the header is tied to the read date. A confirmed task change also refreshes the dashboard.

The Active Goals counter requires reading the goals list so it always counts open goals for the indicated year and goals without a date. Weekly project statistics use the same task list as the counters; the dashboard does not replace them with an API aggregate covering all dates.

Number details

The Weekly plan progress section shows the week's plan completion for the given date range (Monday–Sunday). The Planned Hours Completed card shows completed hours against the whole plan, e.g. 12 h / 20 h planned. The bar marks the share of completed planned time; when no hours are planned it is not shown. Yearly goals separates yearly and undated goals from weekly results. Both groups stay in the shared customization section.

Clicking a counter opens a window with the data that makes up its result. The window shows active filters, the date range, the number of items, and for tasks also each item's time and the total hours. Close it with the Close button to return to the dashboard.

  • Tasks Completed, Open Tasks and Planned Hours Completed refer to the week in the dashboard header and to completed or open tasks respectively.
  • Active Goals shows open goals with a target date/due date in the indicated year and goals without a date, per the counter definition.
  • Today shows open tasks planned for the indicated day.
  • Next 7 days shows open tasks from tomorrow through the seventh day inclusive. A task's due date takes precedence over its planned date.
  • Overdue shows only tasks overdue as of the day indicated in the dashboard.

Clicking a bar on a chart opens the tasks completed in that week. Bars also support keyboard selection. Clicking a slice of the projects chart or a legend row shows the tasks that make up its hours. The collective Other category covers projects beyond the selected Top N limit.

The projects chart and its details use completed tasks planned for the week in the header, with positive time. Tasks without a project are included in the No project category. The chart total matches Planned Hours Completed. If task fetching fails, the chart marks the data as unavailable or keeps the last correct result with a warning.

Clicking — retries the read. A correctly read zero opens an empty list. Details of previously read data include a warning about the failed refresh, and an open window keeps the data of the selected result.

The dashboard header shows the current week number and the date range the metrics count toward; Refresh refreshes the data. The Tasks Completed counter and the hours include a trend versus the previous week. The What needs attention section has an All tasks button leading to the task list.

Statistics definitions

A week means an ISO week (Monday–Sunday), by task planned date. Completing today a task planned for the previous week updates the previous week's result. This is not a statistic by actual completion date.

Planned Hours Completed, the hours chart and the projects chart sum the planned time of tasks marked completed, not time-tracker measurements. The weekly charts cover the last eight weeks, including the current one; the current week is marked as in progress.

Overdue includes overdue items from all weeks. Active Goals includes open goals for the indicated year and goals without a date. Next 7 days starts tomorrow; the date range is visible and a tooltip explains the task due-date precedence.

Hours are presented to one decimal place. Positive time that would round to zero hours is shown in minutes. Details always keep each task's time in minutes. Rounding happens after summing; the sum of separately rounded project labels may differ slightly from the overall total.
